According to a recent RSA conference, Intel has decided to improvise its framework for advanced security features that will cover Intel Processors. Microsoft and Cisco are on board with this decision.

To ensure security norms, Intel Security Essentials will be incorporated into Intel Core, Intel Xeon and Intel Atom processors with a uniform arrangement of trusted hardware security potentials. To quote Intel’s Vice President of Software and Services Group, Rick Echevarria, he said:
“ These capabilities are platform integrity technologies for secure boot, hardware protections (for data, keys and other digital assets), accelerated cryptography and trusted execution enclaves to protect applications at run time.”
Adding to this he further pointed out their further strategy of minimizing security’s effects on performance will enhance security structures and costs of computing. Microsoft and Cisco will be coming in partnership with Intel as per the RSA conference.
Auxiliary Innovations
Intel’s new Accelerated Memory Scanning for its Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection will be managed and developed by Microsoft. On the other hand Cisco will be responsible for integrating Intel Advanced Platform Telemetry into the Cisco Titration Platform. Intel’s new Accelerated Memory Scanning will be effective in detecting cyber attacks that misuses system memory. Intel’s assembled graphics processor will have an attribute to scan and trim down load on both performance and power consumption.
From the results of the tests carried out on Accelerated Memory Scanning capabilities, it was found out that the CPU consumption went down from 20% to 2 %!
US-based Purdue University have been approached to team up with Intel for cyber security training. Security Badge program has been designed and developed in collaboration with Intel and sooner to be launched by Purdue for students and professionals. In his final speech, Echevarria signs off by saying that,
“Intel is committed to helping secure the digital world, beginning with a secure foundation at the silicon level. Together with our industry partners – and in line with our security first pledge – we will continue to work tirelessly to safeguard our customers and their data.”
