Orkut Buyukkokten’s fresh venture HELLO is creating a great stir in hyperspace with re-launching of the famous social media honcho Orkut.

Way before Facebook dominated the virtual domain of social media; ORKUT was a big name for social networking, especially for the young crowd from all over the world. Orkut Buyukkokten in a recent post with reference to the re-launch of Orkut HELLO said that he was concerned about the current frequent data breaching instances all over the globe. Moreover, he feels that the netizens are becoming more and more prone to digital violations that are further hampering their privacy.
Buyukkoten goes on by saying,
“When there is no transparency with respect to how companies handle data, users lose trust in companies. This is exactly the scenario in the social scene of late.”
The original Orkut network discarded ads of random things and focused much more on generating recommendations for communities. In synchronization with this thoughtful idea, Buyukkoten explained how Orkut HELLO is going to work on the basis of user behaviour, algorithms, user patterns, enhancing the overall user experience.
More Technologically Advanced
Orkut HELLO has been developed in an advanced manner with the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This would allow people to people to connect with their communities better who share similar interests. Customization of virtual contacts will be one of the unique features that people would love to know about and at the same time show adequate interest. Emphasizing on the norms of digital privacy, this has been strictly pledged that the user data will not be used outside the HELLO domain no matter what. Since Orkut HELLO has an autonomous registration and login data, the requirement or situation to share these data with any third parties does not arise.
When asked about advertisements, Buyukkoten vividly explained how vice-versa the situation is going to be. This time the user is going, get benefitted with advertisements more than the advertisers. Advertisers will have to choose personas and generate content as per the theme highlighted in the personas. This is how users will be able to see the content of their own interests.
The recreation of the successor to Orkut is focused to bring happiness to millions of people by providing them with a safe digital platform to enjoy a socially active profile. Buyukkoten draws his inspiration from Disney’s focus, whose main aim is to create and spread happiness more than overtaking competitors in the rat race. He signs off by saying a million dollar statement, “I would rather prefer a hundred users who are happy, than a million unhappy ones”.
